Sudoku

Sudoku is free to play in your browser on a phone, tablet or computer. Levels run from a small 6×6 grid for beginners up to the hardest nine-by-nine puzzles, each graded by the techniques it needs, and there is a new daily puzzle. Pencil marks, undo and hints help you along the way.

How to play

• The grid has nine rows and nine columns, cut into nine boxes of three by three. Some digits are given; the rest are yours to find.
• Fill every empty cell so that each row, each column and each box holds the digits 1 to 9 once each.
• Every puzzle has exactly one solution, so it can always be found by logic alone.
• Pencil marks let you note the digits a cell might hold while you work it out.
